This role involves providing exceptional customer service, preparing and serving food items, and maintaining a clean and organized deli area. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service or retail environments, possess strong time management skills, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced setting. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable experience in the food industry. Duties Prepare and assemble deli items according to company standards, including slicing meats, cheeses, and other food products Serve customers efficiently while providing excellent customer service Upsell products to increase sales and enhance customer experience Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area, including food handling and sanitation protocols Restock shelves, organize displays, and ensure product freshness Assist with food safety management practices to comply with health regulations Support other team members with bussing, cleaning, and general deli duties as needed Qualifications Previous experience in food preparation, food service, or retail sales is highly desirable; café or quick service restaurant experience is a plus Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that creates a welcoming environment Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking between food prep and customer interactions Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices within the food industry is a plus Experience with grocery store operations or kitchen environments is advantageous but not required This position is ideal for individuals passionate about the food industry who enjoy engaging with customers and working in a dynamic team environment.
