Bowling and Arcade Attendant

LOCATION
North Carolina SALARY:
Hourly/$14.00 - $17.00 SUMMARY Bowling and Arcade Attendant, is a key role in the smooth operation of the entire Bowling Center including the Helm,Concessions and Arcade area. This person will be the front line of contact with guests and will be responsible for any needs the guests might have. This position demands someone with problem solving skills as well as a positive attitude to ensure a fun, memorable experience for the guest. They are also expected to provide excellent service for guests with a friendly smile while always following our guest service standards of 10 for 10, 80/20 and C.P.R. Team members must have comprehensive knowledge of all events and amenities in the UltraStar Multi-tainment Center.
RESPONSIBILITIES ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS BUT NOT LIMITED TO
Perform a variety of attending duties in the Bowling, Helm, Concession and Arcade areas. Maintain and provide equipment to participate in Bowling Center and Arcade. Monitor activities to ensure adherence to rules and safety procedures. Ability to work in a team environment and work cooperatively and professionally with other departments, with respect to the chain of command Knowledge of the proper etiquette and service standards Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure Maintain Bowling Center cleanliness by bussing lanes, keeping the area free of trash, and keeping bathrooms clean and stocked. Keep lines of communication open with the Helm and Shift Manager on duty. Maintain knowledge of the company and the areas to ensure guests have correct information. Handle themselves in front of all guests and staff in a professional manner. Responsible for center cleanliness. Guest areas should be kept clean and orderly at all times. Must have a positive attitude, be a self starter and be respectful to others Have a pleasant verbiage, tone, and be respectful and responsible for what they say Enjoys conversation with guests Enjoys children Strong customer service orientation and skills Ability to focus on attention on details Must be organized, detail oriented and have the ability to multitask and prioritize Excellent cash handling skills Flexible work schedule Ability to enforce the Center's standards, policies and procedures with assigned staff Ability to be a clear thinker, analyze and resolve problems, exercising good judgment Ability to exert physical effort in transporting and placement of tables, chairs, podiums and other event equipment Ability to work without direct supervision Greet customers, take orders accurately and provide assistance with food and beverage selections while addressing inquiries or complaints professionally Prepare and serve items such as popcorn, hotdogs, nachos, candy, ice cream and soft drinks according to standardized recipes and portion sizes Maintain a clean and organized concession area, including food prep surfaces, cooking equipment, utensils and floors; follow food safety and sanitation guidelines Monitor stock levels, restock items as needed Use large-volume cooking equipment safely and efficiently
REQUIREMENTS
Pre-Employment Drug Test and a background check are required to complete the onboarding paperwork, this is required by the Cherokee Tribal Gaming Commission. Have general working knowledge of the Bowling center, Required to have the ability of handling and moving objects such as displays, stocking, labeling, positioning, moving materials, and manipulating things. Pick up to 50lbs., 75 feet Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others to create a successful environment. Always provide a positive attitude and support staff and management in decision making. Arcade attendants are expected to possess an extensive knowledge of guest service. Basic math skills, computer skills Read and write English High School Diploma
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this position, the Team Member will regularly be required to: Work days, nights, holidays, weekends are required. Work in an area where there is varying noise, lighting, in a fast paced environment with changes in air quality including second hand smoke. Read and write handwritten notes. Lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Move about the facility and stand for long periods of time. Walk or stand 100% of the shift. Reach, bend and stoop frequently. Ascend and descend stairs and sloped surfaces
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Interior Work Areas - have moderate temperatures. Interior flooring may be carpeted, tile, and concrete. Auditorium floors are either stepped or sloped. Team members may encounter wet or slippery floor surfaces. Exterior Work Areas- Moderate to extreme temperatures depending on weather conditions
