Job Description

Mid to entry-level, full-time position of Surveyor. Wetherill Engineering will provide training, competitive compensation and benefits. Ideal candidates would have prior survey experience (not required), valid driver license, reliable transportation, willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment. There is opportunity to learn and progress in a surveyor career. Some travel may be required.
Essential Job Functions:
Assist the Party Chief in daily operations Set up Traffic Control signs Setting up backsights and instruments Running the Total Station instrument/GPS units, as needed Run the rod in the collection of survey data, as directed by Party Chief Cut line with bush axe, machete, etc., as needed Engage with property owners to allow access for accurate data capture Other duties as assigned by Survey Manager Anticipate, prevent and solve problems (proactive vs. reactive) within their authority
Minimum Position Qualifications:
Must have excellent communication skills, professional appearance, and a good attitude Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver license and good record Excellent organizational skills Be courteous and safety-driven Understand and follow all company policies and procedures Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Work Environment:
Fast-paced, customer-driven environment. Most of the day may be spent outside with visits to operational areas resulting in exposure to a variety of temperatures and prevailing weather conditions. Where appropriate, wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in compliance with Company standards and governmental regulations. The extension of regular working hours is occasionally necessary to complete time-sensitive projects, attend training or respond to emergencies. Additionally, work may be required on weekends and holidays as dictated by business demands. Occasional out-of-town work is required and mostly within the state. Ability to work outside in varying terrains and climates. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required. Applicant will be expected to produce a high quality work product which is accurate, thorough, and on schedule. Statewide travel may be required. Some overtime may be required.

$16.00 - $22.00 per hour
