Responsibilities Prepare and serve deli products with attention to quality, presentation, and safety standards Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for cash handling and transactions Assist customers by providing product information, offering suggestions, and conducting product demos when appropriate Maintain proper merchandising by stocking shelves, rotating products, and ensuring attractive displays Upsell complementary items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities Ensure the cleanliness of the deli area, including sanitizing work surfaces and equipment regularly Manage inventory levels through stock checks and communicating with management for replenishment needs Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when taking orders or answering customer inquiries Supervise or assist with training new team members in deli procedures and customer service standards when applicable Experience Previous retail sales or grocery store experience preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential Supervising experience is a plus, especially in team or shift leadership roles Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math skills are highly valued Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customers Experience in product demos, merchandising, stocking, or upselling techniques will help you excel in this role Knowledge of grocery store operations and customer service best practices is beneficial Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Join us to deliver outstanding service while honing your retail skills!
