Deli Associate/Customer Service

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Deli Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our customers while ensuring food safety and quality standards are met. As a Deli Associate, you will assist in food preparation, maintain cleanliness in the deli area, and operate the cash register efficiently. Duties Prepare and serve deli products, including meats, cheeses, and salads, with attention to presentation and quality. Assist customers by answering questions about products and making recommendations based on their preferences. Operate cash registers and Point of Sale (POS) systems accurately, including handling cash transactions and processing payments. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking supplies as needed. Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and preparation. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations during peak hours. Experience Previous experience in the food industry or food service is preferred but not required. Familiarity with kitchen operations and basic food preparation techniques is a plus. Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory management are essential. Experience using Aloha POS or similar cash register systems is advantageous. A commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and customer service is required.
