About us Livoti's Old World Market is supportive, inclusive and customer-centric.

Primary Responsibilities Customer Service:

Greeting customers, answering questions about products (ingredients, taste, preparation), and providing samples.

Food Preparation:

Slicing meats and cheeses to specific customer requests, assembling sandwiches and salads, and preparing hot case items like rotisserie chickens or fried foods.

Equipment Operation:

Safely using commercial meat and cheese slicers, food scales, ovens, fryers, and knives.

Merchandising & Inventory:

Stocking and rotating products (following FIFO/First-In, First-Out), maintaining attractive display cases, and labeling items with accurate weights and prices.

Sanitation:

Regularly cleaning and sanitizing work surfaces, equipment, and utensils to meet food safety and OSHA regulations.

Sales & Transactions:

Suggesting promotional items and, in some settings, operating a cash register to process payments.

Requirements & Qualifications Age:

18 years or older due to the legal requirement for operating hazardous equipment like meat slicers.

Education:

High school diploma or GED is required

Physical Demands:

Ability to stand for long shifts (up to 8+ hours), work in varying temperatures (coolers/freezers and near ovens/fryers), and lift heavy items typically ranging from 25 to 50 lbs.

Skills:

Strong communication, basic math for weighing and pricing, and attention to detail for food safety compliance. •
