Job Description

Green's Natural Foods, Shrewsbury is seeking a motivated, food-passionate Prepared Foods Associate to join our team. In this role, you will prepare, package, and present fresh, high-quality organic meals, as well as fresh-pressed juices and smoothies. The ideal candidate is committed to healthy eating, sustainability, and delivering excellent customer service while maintaining the highest food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare fresh, organic foods including salads, hot bar items, sandwiches, and grab-and-go meals Prepare fresh-pressed juices and smoothies according to recipes and customer preferences Operate and maintain juice bar equipment, including juicers and blenders Follow recipes and portion guidelines to ensure consistency and quality across all products Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards (temperature control, proper storage, cleanliness) Set up, stock, and maintain attractive prepared foods and juice bar displays Accurately label, date, and package products Monitor inventory levels for both prepared foods and juice bar ingredients; communicate restocking needs Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service, including answering questions about ingredients, nutrition, and dietary options Clean and sanitize workstations, utensils, equipment, and juice bar tools regularly Support other departments as needed
Qualifications:
Previous experience in food service, deli, kitchen, grocery, or juice bar preferred ServSafe certification required (or willingness to obtain within 90 days) Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices Interest in organic, natural, and health-focused foods and beverages Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and time management skills Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and ability to work as part of a team
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Comfortable working in varying temperatures (hot kitchen areas and refrigerated storage) Ability to perform frequent bending, lifting, and repetitive tasks
