Temp to HireESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working safely is first priority.
- Receives and follows written or oral instructions from Mine Supervisor regarding material to move or excavate.
- Operate and train subordinates in the safe and efficient operation of all mining equipment, including but not limited to bulldozers, road graders, articulated haul trucks, scrapers, water trucks or excavators.
- Observes markings on ground, hand signals, or grade stakes to remove material, when operating machinery at excavation site. Reads daily cut sheets and communicates the instructions on those sheets to all crew members.
- Inspects, cleans, maintains, and lubricates equipment.
- Organizing drill hole samples
- Comply with all safety, environmental regulations and company policies
- Assist data entry, safety audits, operator training, or parts inventory as needed.
- Strong attention to detail
- Good decision-making capability
- Gather and analyze information skillfully and with alternate solutions in mind when necessary
Ability:
- Ability to operate and supervise heavy equipment; understands the importance of safe equipment operation and preventative maintenance.
- Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy;
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively (written and verbal).
- Good attendance history
- Demonstrate the ability to adapt to changes in the work environment
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule
- Valid driver's license with qualifying DMV driving history.
