We care for you. Position Overview Join our team as a Care Coordinator who contributes to the success of a high-performing organization committed to delivering superior care and exceptional service. Performs a range of administrative and customer service tasks, providing valuable support to the hospital. Deer Park Animal Hospital in Deer Park, New York, is a community-centered practice known for its personalized approach, supportive team environment, and commitment to building lasting client relationships.

We are a busy multi doctor practice looking for a friendly and talented addition to our front desk staff. We have a great client base and pride ourselves on our customer service, as well as our top-quality medicine and surgery. Key Responsibilities Provides excellent customer service in-person, over the phone, and during high-stress situations. Manages lobby flow, addresses concerns, calms distressed owners, and schedules appointments. Handles basic medical emergencies for pets and owners, ensuring safety and well-being. Assists with medication pickups, inquiries, and provides information about services and products. Inputs and manages data in practice management software, including billing and accounts. Assists with retail sales, weighing pets, processing faxes, and maintaining records. Reconciles cash drawer and performs end-of-day duties for accurate financial transactions. Qualifications (Required) High school diploma or GED required, or equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience Familiarity with computers is a must Knowledge of clerical procedures and ability to organize files and records Excellent customer service skills, providing courteous and prompt assistance Accurate cash handling and cashiering abilities Strong multitasking skills with attention to detail Ability to work at a keyboard or workstation for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, climbing, and lifting animals up to 50 pounds Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) Animal hospital front desk experience

Schedule:

Tuesday & Wednesday from 11AM-8PM, Thursday & Friday from 9AM-6PM, and Saturday from 9AM-4PM Some evenings and Saturdays Looking for Full-time but open to Part-time What We Offer We care deeply about supporting our team members — professionally and personally.
