We're looking for a motivated, organized, and guest-focused Shop & Operations Associate to help support and grow the business. Position Overview The Shop & Operations Associate supports both the customer-facing and operational functions of
HUDSON DRY
while working closely with the owner and founder to help grow the business. This position combines retail sales, inventory management, e-commerce fulfillment, merchandising, project coordination, and operational support. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, resourceful, and excited about the evolving world of zero-proof beverages. They enjoy taking ownership, solving problems, and contributing to an exceptional guest experience while helping a growing independent business thrive. Key ResponsibilitiesRetail Sales & Guest Experience Welcome and engage guests in the shop. Provide thoughtful recommendations across zero-proof beer, wine, spirits, and beverages. Process sales transactions and maintain accurate cash handling procedures. Assist with tastings, events, and educational experiences. Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting shop environment. Help cultivate a welcoming and inclusive community around the shop. Beverage & Inventory Management Receive, organize, and stock incoming inventory. Monitor inventory levels and assist with purchasing and vendor coordination. Conduct inventory counts and maintain inventory accuracy. Support merchandising and product displays throughout the shop. Assist with product research, assortment planning, and category development. E-Commerce Sales & Fulfillment Process online orders accurately and efficiently. Pick, pack, and prepare shipments for delivery. Coordinate local pickup and shipping logistics. Maintain product information and inventory availability across digital platforms. Manage guest inquiries and provide timely, professional correspondence via email and other communication channels. Deliver exceptional service and follow-through across all guest touchpoints, both in-shop and online. Operations & Project Management Assist with special projects, events, partnerships, and seasonal initiatives. Support administrative and operational workflows. Help improve systems and processes across shop and e-commerce operations. Work closely with the owner and founder to support business development, strategic initiatives, and day-to-day operations. Collaborate on growth initiatives, partnerships, marketing efforts, and community engagement opportunities. Take ownership of projects and follow them through from planning to execution. Qualifications Previous experience in restaurants, hospitality, beverage service, specialty retail, wine shops, bottle shops, bars, cafés, or food & beverage environments strongly preferred. Knowledge of beverage service, wine, beer, spirits, food pairing, or hospitality standards is highly valued. Genuine interest in the rapidly growing zero-proof beverage category, including zero-proof beer, wine, spirits, and beverages. Degree, certificate, or formal training in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Management, Restaurant Management, Wine Studies, Beverage Management, Event Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or related fields preferred. Experience managing guest communications and professional correspondence via email, phone, and other customer service channels. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail and professionalism. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable learning new software, point-of-sale systems, e-commerce platforms, and productivity tools. Ability to work independently and as part of a small team. Ability to lift and move cases of beverages as needed.
