Job Description

UPMC Chautauqua is hiring a Storeroom Clerk to join our Food Services team! This position is full-time, Monday- Friday 5am-1:30pm. Occasional weekend and holiday coverage required. Previous experience is highly preferred.
Purpose:
Purchase, receive, and store all food and supply orders in accordance with departmental procedures and health department guidelines.
Responsibilities:
Store received product in assigned location in an organized manner, to include proper stock rotation and the dating of each product. Inspect and store all deliveries according to Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and department procedures. Communicate any food safety or product quality concerns immediately to supervisor. Use and maintains equipment according to manufacturer and department guidelines; follow all safety procedures. Consistently adhere to Safety Data Sheet (SDS) information related to the proper and safe use of chemicals in the workplace. Maintain a professional working relationship and demonstrate excellent customer service skills at all times with vendors, delivery drivers, and coworkers. Receive shipments from vendors; document receipt of each item as identified by the order guide. Identify discrepancies and communicate to supervisor. Receive shipments from trucking companies, UPS, and special delivery distributors according to established procedures. Monitor and record temperatures according to operation guidelines. Complete accurate and timely inventories; develop and place orders according to operation schedules and procedures. Maintain inspection-readiness of all storage areas, refrigerators, and freezers. Collect and remove trash from all areas of the operation following established procedures. Adhere to recycling guidelines. HS Diploma/GED or 1 YR previous job experience required in lieu of HS Diploma/GED.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
