Counter Service Staff

The Smokehouse of the Catskills is looking for dedicated, hard-working individuals who will be responsible for greeting customers in a friendly manner, taking and packaging food orders, and providing exceptional customer service.

Job Duties:

Welcome customers in a positive, friendly manner Accurately accept customer orders Operate a cash register, take payments and make change Address and resolve customer inquiries and concerns in a timely and positive manner Answer questions about menu items and promotions Monitor and restock grocery shelves as needed Label, date and rotate product Update displays, cases and other customer-facing areas to ensure new items and promotions are showcased Operate all food production equipment, such as slicers, in a safe manner, and ensure it is in good working condition Keep work areas clean and ready to service customers at all times Assist in cleaning counters and floors, removal of trash The job description describes the principal purpose and main elements of the job. Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a strong attention to detail Ability to multitask Must be able to stand and move throughout assigned shift Must have strong customer service skills with ability to communicate effectively Must be comfortable, and/or have knowledge of, using various kitchen tools/equipment

Education & Experience:

A High School diploma or GED Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred; however, training will be provided This is a full-time position (benefits included) with a salary range of $18-22 per hour, depending on experience.
