Duties Prepare a variety of deli foods including slicing meats, cheeses, salads, and prepared meals with precision and care. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for processing sales transactions efficiently. Manage customer orders with excellent service skills, upselling products to enhance the shopping experience. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the deli area, including food handling and workspace organization. Operate kitchen equipment safely, including slicers, ovens, and food prep tools, adhering to food safety protocols. Process cash transactions accurately while handling cash register operations and cash handling responsibilities. Assist in inventory management by restocking deli items and monitoring product freshness to ensure quality. Qualifications Previous experience in food preparation or food service roles such as quick service restaurants or cafés is highly desirable. Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred. Strong skills in time management, multitasking, and working efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude that promotes a positive shopping experience. Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively while maintaining a clean workspace. Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing inventory counts.
