Meat Associate Tilton's Custom Meats — Newcomerstown, OH Family-owned custom butcher shop and retail meat market. We process beef, pork, lamb, and goat and sell fresh cuts, ground beef, and burger over the counter. We are hiring a Meat Associate to cut meat, wrap product, pack customer boxes, and help customers at the counter. What you will do Cut and bone meat (beef, pork, and other livestock) to shop standards and customer orders Trim, portion, and prepare cuts for retail and custom processing Weigh, wrap, label, and date meat Pack finished orders into boxes for custom-processing customers Wait on retail customers, fill orders, and help load product Keep cases, cutting tables, scales, and wrapping area clean and stocked Follow all food safety, sanitation, and Ohio inspection rules Help receive product, rotate stock, and keep the cooler organized Other shop duties as needed What we're looking for Reliable and on time Comfortable working with raw meat in a cold cutting room Able to stand for long periods and lift 50 lbs regularly Basic math skills for weighing and labeling Good attitude with customers and coworkers Knife skills or meat-cutting experience preferred We will train the right person who is willing to learn Schedule Full-time / part-time.
