Responsibilities Prepare and assemble deli products with precision, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met. Operate POS system Clover to process sales accurately and efficiently. Manage customer orders with friendly service, upselling products to enhance the shopping experience. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area, including food handling, sanitation, and workspace organization. Handle cash register operations, process retail sales transactions, and process cash handling with accuracy. Operate kitchen equipment safely for food preparation, including slicers, warmers, and other deli tools. Assist in food safety management by adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols. Support food service customer order management by ensuring timely service during busy periods. Engage in quick service & fast food restaurant practices to deliver prompt, friendly customer interactions. Contribute to a team environment making restocking supplies, and supporting overall store operations. Skills Proven experience in food preparation, food handling, or retail food service environments. Familiarity with POS systems such as Clover for sales processing. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell products confidently. Basic math skills for cash register operations and retail math calculations. Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices within the food industry. Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely while maintaining a clean workspace. Previous experience in grocery store or restaurant environments is highly desirable. Effective communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.
