Job Description
Duties may include, but are not limited to: Welcome guests warmly and provide friendly, attentive hospitality. Operate the POS system, accurately enter orders, process payments, and handle cash responsibly. Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, beverages, and daily offerings. Prepare coffee, espresso beverages, teas, and other drinks according to Second Breakfast standards. Prepare sandwiches, salads, and other menu items according to recipes and portion standards. Complete food preparation tasks such as chopping, portioning, assembling, baking assistance, stocking, and labeling. Follow recipes and established preparation procedures to ensure consistency and quality. Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked work station. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene standards. Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning, stocking, and preparing the bistro for service. Restock ingredients, beverages, disposables, and other supplies as needed. Wash dishes and maintain cleanliness throughout the dining room, kitchen, beverage area, and other work spaces. Assist other team members during busy periods and step into different stations when needed. Communicate clearly and respectfully with coworkers and leadership. Handle guest concerns with patience, professionalism, and a hospitality-first attitude. Maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere for both guests and fellow team members. Protect company recipes, procedures, and other confidential business information. Follow all company policies, procedures, and expectations outlined in the Employee Handbook and Culture Code. Perform other duties as assigned to support the daily operation of the bistro.
