Your role is vital in ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming space where every guest leaves satisfied and eager to return. Whether you're slicing bread, assembling sandwiches, or handling cash transactions, your energy and attention to detail will drive our success. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop food industry experience while working in a lively, team-oriented setting. Duties Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to customer specifications and company standards using food preparation techniques. Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing, cashiering, and cash handling. Ensure all food handling and sanitation procedures are followed to maintain food safety standards. Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders accurately, and upselling menu items to enhance sales. Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and food prep zones by bussing tables and performing sanitation tasks regularly. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality. Assist with inventory management, stock replenishment, and proper food storage practices in accordance with safety guidelines. Skills Proven experience in food preparation, food service or quick service & fast food restaurant environments. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient cashiering and sales transactions. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with guests. Knowledge of food handling procedures, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations. Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail during high-volume periods. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and order accuracy. Experience working in a café or retail grocery store is a plus; a background in the food industry or restaurant experience is highly valued.
