Fisher's Deli is looking for a few great people to join our team! We are a busy, Amish-market-style deli stand where good food, great customer service, and hard work all come together. We have a fun, close-knit team, but we also work very hard and move VERY fast. When the market gets busy, we can have a line of customers waiting to be served, multiple orders going at once, food being prepared, products needing restocked, and coworkers needing a hand — all at the same time. Are naturally fast-moving and energetic Enjoy working in a busy environment Are friendly, outgoing, and comfortable talking with customers Can do basic math quickly in your head Can count money and make change accurately Are good at remembering orders and details Can multitask without getting easily overwhelmed Notice what needs to be done and take initiative Can stay friendly even when there's a line of customers waiting Are dependable and show up on time Take pride in doing a job well Don't mind cleaning, stocking, prepping, or jumping into whatever needs done Work well as part of a team Are willing to learn and take direction What You'll Be Doing A typical day may include: Greeting and serving customers Taking orders quickly and accurately Slicing, weighing, packaging, and labeling deli products Preparing food and products for the stand Handling cash and making change Doing quick mental math Restocking throughout the day Keeping the stand clean and organized Helping coworkers during busy rushes Setting up and/or closing down the stand Following food safety and sanitation procedures Jumping in wherever you're needed A Few Things You Should Know This is a very active, hands-on position. You will be on your feet for most of your shift and should be comfortable walking, bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, and moving quickly throughout the day. Our market days can get extremely busy , and that's part of what makes this job fun. We don't expect you to know everything on your first day. We can teach you our products, our system, and how we like things done. What we can't teach as easily is work ethic, urgency, dependability, and a good attitude.
