Duties Prepare a variety of deli foods, including slicing meats, cheeses, and assembling sandwiches with precision and care Provide outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and offering product recommendations Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the deli area, adhering to food safety regulations Assist with food handling, stocking supplies, and ensuring the deli area is organized and inviting Support food preparation tasks like chopping, portioning, and packaging to ensure quality and freshness. Proven experience in food preparation, food handling, or working in a quick service environment. Strong customer service skills with the ability to up sell products confidently while maintaining a positive attitude Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks swiftly during busy hours Basic math skills for handling retail math calculations, and accurate inventory management Knowledge of sanitation practices, food safety standards, and proper kitchen procedures Previous restaurant or grocery store experience is highly desirable but not necessary to excel in this role.
