Responsibilities Prepare a variety of deli foods including slicing meats, cheeses, and preparing salads or sandwiches with precision and care Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, offering recommendations, and upselling products to enhance the shopping experience Operate POS systems for accurate cash handling and sales transactions Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices Restock shelves, organize displays, and ensure the deli area is attractive and well-stocked at all times Assist with food preparation tasks like portioning ingredients, wrapping products, and managing inventory levels efficiently Support other store functions such as cashiering, bussing tables, or helping in the grocery section as needed to ensure smooth store operations Requirements Previous experience in food service, retail grocery stores, or quick service & fast food restaurants is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
