About Us Pioneers Meats is a specialty deli and meat market located in Boerne, Texas , offering premium South African-style meats, cheeses, and international gourmet products. We're passionate about quality, customer service, and creating a welcoming experience for everyone who walks through our doors. Job Summary We're seeking a friendly, reliable Deli Associate to join our team. The role involves assisting customers at the deli counter, preparing and packaging meats and cheeses, handling transactions at the register, and maintaining clean, well-organized work areas. This is a customer-facing position that combines great service with attention to detail. Responsibilities Greet and assist customers in selecting meats, cheeses, and deli products. Slice, weigh, and package items accurately and efficiently. Operate the cash register, process payments, and handle transactions accurately. Maintain clean and sanitary food preparation and display areas. Restock deli cases, shelves, and supplies as needed. Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures. Operate deli equipment (slicers, scales, packaging tools, etc.) safely. Qualifications Previous deli, grocery, or food service experience preferred. Basic math and cash handling skills required. Excellent customer service and communication abilities. Ability to multitask and work efficiently. Dependable, organized, and team-oriented. Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
