BYOB Food Truck - Lubbock, TX & surrounding service locations Join the BYOB Crew BYOB Burgers is looking for a dependable, hardworking, and energetic Overnight Food Truck Team Member to join our crew! BYOB is a fast-paced food truck built around great burgers, great service, and a team that knows how to work hard while still having a good time. Our nights can get busy, loud, and fast, especially during peak service, events, and late-night rushes. We're looking for someone who can keep up with that environment, work well with a team, and help us give every customer a great experience. We also believe that a great business starts with taking care of the people who help run it. We want our employees to enjoy coming to work, feel appreciated, and be part of a team that looks out for one another. What You'll Be Doing As an Overnight Team Member, you'll be involved in the entire nightly operation of the food truck , not just working the grill.
Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing and organizing food before traveling to the night's service location Completing general kitchen prep and ensuring the trailer is stocked and ready for service Traveling with the BYOB team to scheduled service locations Preparing and cooking menu items during service Taking and fulfilling customer orders accurately Providing friendly, welcoming customer service Keeping up with high-volume and fast-paced service periods Maintaining a clean and organized workstation throughout the night Restocking ingredients and supplies as needed Helping the team close down the food trailer after service Cleaning cooking equipment, workstations, floors, dishes, utensils, and other areas of the trailer Properly storing food and completing end-of-night closing procedures Working together with the crew to make sure the trailer is ready for the next service What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is comfortable working hard and understands that food truck service requires everyone to contribute.
Ideal candidates should:
Have general kitchen and food preparation knowledge Be comfortable working around grills, fryers, and other commercial kitchen equipment Be able to work quickly and efficiently during high-volume rushes Remain calm and productive under pressure Be dependable and able to consistently work overnight hours Be friendly, respectful, and professional with customers Communicate well with coworkers Be willing to clean and help with all parts of the operation Be able to follow food safety and sanitation procedures Have a strong work ethic and positive attitude Be comfortable working 5-6 days per week Be available for shifts that may fall anywhere within 6:00 PM - 3:00 AM Previous restaurant, food truck, fast-food, or kitchen experience is preferred, but attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn are extremely important to us. Physical Requirements Food truck work can be physically demanding.
Team members should be comfortable:
Standing for extended periods of time Working in a compact commercial kitchen Working around heat from grills and fryers Bending, reaching, cleaning, and performing repetitive kitchen tasks Lifting and moving typical restaurant supplies, ingredients, and equipment Working late-night and overnight hours Why BYOB?
