Now Hiring:
Part-Time Food Truck Crew — Maharaja Spice We're looking for energetic, reliable people to join our team preparing and serving authentic Indian street food from our truck. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role — great for someone who enjoys food, works well under pressure, and likes interacting with customers.
Positions Available:
1. Fry Station Prepare and cook fried items (samosas, pakoras, etc.) to order, maintaining consistent quality and timing Monitor oil temperature and manage frying stations safely Keep the fry station clean and stocked throughout the shift Follow food safety and hygiene standards 2. Rice & Curry Station Portion rice, curries, and biryanis accurately per order Maintain consistent portion sizes to control costs and ensure quality Keep steam trays/warmers stocked and at proper temperatures Communicate with the front-counter staff to keep orders moving smoothly 3. Front Counter / Order Taking Greet customers, take orders, and handle payments (cash and card/POS) Relay orders clearly to the kitchen staff Hand off completed orders and ensure accuracy Provide friendly, efficient customer service, especially during rush periods Requirements (all positions): Must be able to commute to different locations within Vermont (mostly in the Burlington area) Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a compact, fast-paced environment Reliable, punctual, and a team player Prior food service experience preferred but not required — training provided
