Duties Prepare a variety of deli items including sandwiches, salads, cold cuts, cheeses, and other specialty foods following safety and quality standards Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently Manage food service customer orders by taking requests, upselling products, and ensuring timely delivery to enhance customer satisfaction Maintain a clean and organized workspace by regularly sanitizing surfaces, properly storing food items, and adhering to sanitation protocols Handle cash register operations including processing cash transactions, giving correct change, and balancing cash drawers at shift end Assist in food handling procedures ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and proper storage practices Support the team in operating kitchen equipment like slicers, warmers, or other deli tools safely and effectively Experience Previous experience in food preparation or food service environments such as quick service restaurants, cafés, or grocery stores is highly desirable Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for retail transactions Strong skills in retail math, basic math calculations, cash handling, and processing cash transactions accurately Proven ability to manage time efficiently in fast-paced settings while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety Experience working with food safety management practices to ensure compliance with sanitation standards Background in customer service roles that involve serving customers directly and upselling products to maximize sales opportunities Knowledge of operating kitchen equipment safely along with general food industry or grocery store experience is a plus Join us to bring energy, precision, and passion for food into every interaction!
