Club General Manager About
RECS RECS
is a recreation club built around analog connectivity and belonging. Friendly gameplay is the entry point and connection is our purpose. Members and guests of all backgrounds, abilities, and skill levels come through our doors to play, meet people, and feel welcomed from day one. Our team makes that possible. We are in an intentional growth phase expanding to new club locations and building the culture, talent, and operational structure that defines what RECS becomes. Systems and processes are still being developed and refined, and the people who join us now co-create them with us. Position Overview Club Team Members are the first face a member sees when they walk in, the person who pours their drink between games, and the one who makes sure the facility is clean, stocked, and ready for play. This role is equal parts hospitality, operations, and community-building and it's a great fit for someone who genuinely enjoys people and takes pride in creating a space where everyone feels they belong. You'll work alongside a collaborative team and report to the Club General Manager, who is invested in your growth from day one. Core Responsibilities Greet every member and guest by name when possible and make them feel welcome from the moment they arrive to the moment they exit. Check members in, process reservations, sell memberships and retail, and answer questions about programs, leagues, and events. Respond to member questions and concerns in the moment and escalate to the General Manager when something is outside of your scope. Support member outreach and give facility tours to prospective members and first-time guests. Prepare and serve drinks and snacks following food-handling standards. Keep the bar and service areas clean, stocked, and presentable throughout the shift. Check IDs and make responsible service decisions, every time. Run the POS accurately, handle cash and card transactions, and close out tabs. Ensure ongoing facility safety and cleanliness throughout the day. Restock supplies and flag low inventory. Support setup and breakdown for social and private events. Follow shift checklists so the next shift starts on solid footing. Role Accountability and Success Measures These aspects of the role clarify what success looks like: Members feel welcome. Every member and guest is treated with kindness and dignity, regardless of background or experience level. This is reflected in direct feedback, return visits, and the stories people tell about RECS. The club is always ready. Courts, F&B areas, and common spaces are clean, stocked, and prepared, every shift, without needing to be asked. Service is accurate and responsible. F&B orders, POS transactions, and ID checks are handled correctly and in compliance with MAST and food-safety standards. Problems get solved or surfaced. Issues are either resolved in the moment or escalated clearly and promptly to the General Manager. You show up as a teammate. You're reliable with your schedule, communicate proactively, and pitch in across areas when the club gets busy. You live the culture. You model the welcoming, inclusive, play-friendly environment that RECS members come here for. Qualifications and Experience Required Must be at least 18 years of age Washington Food Worker Card Washington MAST Permit - Mandatory Alcohol Server Training Preferred (not required) Prior experience in hospitality, retail, food service, fitness, or recreation.
