This role is perfect for someone who can consistently work in a fast paced environment while delivering on daily task and duties. As a key team member, you will assist in preparing fresh deli items, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and providing excellent service to our customers. Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, ensuring all surfaces, utensils, and equipment meet food safety standards Assist with food handling duties such as portioning, weighing, packaging, and labeling products accurately Support meal preparation tasks by assembling ingredients and ensuring freshness for daily service Provide friendly and efficient customer service by answering questions and taking orders through the POS register system. Follow all food safety protocols and hygiene practices to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers Restock supplies as needed to ensure the deli is well-equipped for daily operations ++ If able to handle general cashiering duties to provide customer service Requirements Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or kitchen environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential Strong knife skills and familiarity with basic deli/food handler techniques are highly desirable Knowledge of food preparation, handling, and safety regulations within the food industry Ability to stand for extended periods during morning shifts and perform physical tasks such as lifting or moving supplies Excellent attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness, safety, and quality standards Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers Must be able to lift 30-40 lbs. regularly throughout shifts Ability to be mobile in walk-in refrigerator with temperatures ranging from 40° F to 30° F Ability to stand, bend, reach and scoop through-out assigned shift Join us in creating a lively atmosphere where quality food meets exceptional service!
