Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sandwich Maker to join our team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and customer service, ensuring that each sandwich is crafted with care and attention to detail. This role is essential in providing our customers with high-quality meals while maintaining a clean and efficient workspace. Duties Prepare a variety of sandwiches and other menu items according to established recipes and customer preferences. Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for order processing and payment transactions. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and answering any questions about menu items. Upsell additional items to enhance the customer experience and increase sales. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen area, including proper food handling practices. Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, slicing meats, and assembling ingredients. Perform cashier duties, including cash handling and processing payments accurately. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company policies regarding sanitation and hygiene. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or a quick service/fast food restaurant is preferred. Culinary experience or kitchen experience is a plus. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment. Familiarity with POS systems (Aloha POS or Micros POS) is advantageous. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations. Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards in the food industry. Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated when needed.
