Job Description

Med-Trans Corporation seeks a skilled Helicopter Pilot to support critical air medical transport missions. Based in Lewisville, TX, you will fly day and night operations, executing safe, efficient IFR and VFR flights to transport critically ill or injured patients. You'll collaborate closely with flight nurses, paramedics, dispatch, and hospital/EMS partners while upholding strict FAA and company safety standards. Responsibilities Safely operate IFR and VFR helicopter air medical missions in varied weather and terrain Conduct thorough pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight checks ensuring strict adherence to FAA and company safety standards Coordinate closely with medical crew, dispatch, and ground teams to support rapid, high-quality patient transport Maintain accurate flight logs, reports, and regulatory documentation Participate in ongoing safety training, simulations, and proficiency checks Support continuous improvement of flight operations, safety procedures, and mission readiness Engage in regular communication and debriefs with aviation and clinical teams Represent Med-Trans professionally with partner hospitals, EMS agencies, and the public Required Skills Helicopter flight operations IFR flying VFR flying Air medical operations FAA regulations and compliance Aviation safety management Emergency and night operations Crew resource management (CRM) Flight planning and navigation Aircraft systems and performance
