The Cellarman will be cross-trained in all areas of production and will report to the Head Brewer and Brewmaster. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of directly relevant work experience Exceptional communication skills Strong sensory analysis skills to support quality control Strong attention to detail with excellent organization and time management High work ethic and sense of urgency Full understanding of CIP processes required for cellar operations Understanding of complete tank breakdown, inspection, and associated record keeping Fully competent in day-to-day cellar and brewing operations Full understanding of SOPs across all aspects of the cellar and brew process Full understanding of all cellar and brew equipment and utilities Ability to work 40 hours per week; overtime must be approved in advance Willingness to take on additional production duties as directed by the Head Brewer Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Responsibilities Yeast management Monitor product throughout fermentation All aspects of cellar work, including CIP/SIP of fermentation and bright beer tanks, packaging equipment, dry hopping, fining of in-process beer, and racking and carbonating finished beer Cleaning and filling kegs General brewery cleaning and sanitation Raw materials monitoring, receiving, and handling Collaborate with the Head Brewer and brewing team on any processes that may impact beer quality Follow written SOPs and be accountable for proper SOP execution Monitor cellaring and processing of batches to control quality, consistency, and efficiency Execute and document daily, weekly, monthly, and annual cleaning and maintenance tasks Maintain the highest safety standards for production staff and the brewery environment Communicate daily with the Head Brewer on scheduled tasks, issues encountered, and priorities Attend weekly production meetings Attend industry events and give brewery tours as needed Preferred (Not Required) Degree or certification in brewing science Physical Demands This is a physically demanding role that involves working with potentially dangerous equipment and machinery, exposure to high noise levels, and handling of hazardous materials.

Candidates must be able to:

Stand and traverse the brewery for extended periods Frequently climb stairs Bend, lift, and transport up to 60 lbs regularly, and safely move up to 165 lbs Perform repetitive motions Work comfortably in both hot and cold temperatures Compensation Competitive, commensurate with experience.
