ABOUT THE COMPANY A
growing start up apparel company in the elevated streetwear space is seeking a Director of Production to oversee the full production lifecycle from development through final delivery.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is ideal for a senior production professional who can bring structure to a fast-paced environment, manage vendor relationships, and help scale operations effectively. This is a fully onsite opportunity for someone who is comfortable working in a hands-on, entrepreneurial setting and can lead both day-to-day execution and long-term process improvement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the production calendar and ensure milestones are met across multiple programs Oversee factory capacity, vendor allocation, and production timing to support delivery goals Partner with design, technical design, merchandising, sales, compliance, and logistics teams Negotiate costing, lead times, and delivery terms while maintaining margin objectives Track and manage approvals including fabrics, trims, color submits, fit samples, and TOPs Identify risks early and resolve production issues to keep programs on schedule Ensure all production meets retailer compliance, testing, packaging, and delivery standards Evaluate vendor performance and improve efficiency, quality, and turnaround time Mentor and support junior production staff as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
7+ years of apparel production experience preferred Strong background in building teams Deep understanding of compliance, testing, packaging, and delivery requirements Proven ability to manage multiple vendors and seasonal programs at the same time Strong communication, organization, and negotiation skills Advanced Excel and strong production tracking skills preferred Experience in elevated streetwear, contemporary fashion, or related product categories is highly desirable
PAY RANGE AND COMPENSATION PACKAGE
Compensation:
Up to $150,000 EQUAL
