Nicora Winery is a boutique winery dedicated to crafting exceptional, small-lot wines that reflect the unique terroir of our vineyards. We take pride in our commitment to quality and a personalized wine experience for our guests. We are seeking a Part-Time Tasting Room Associate to join us in creating memorable moments for wine enthusiasts.Position Overview:
Nicora Winery is looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Part-Time Tasting Room Associate to join our team. This role involves hosting tastings, educating guests about our wines, encouraging wine club sign-ups, maintaining the cleanliness of the tasting room, and actively promoting the Nicora Winery brand. There is significant opportunity for growth beyond the responsibilities listed above. As our winery continues to expand, so do our wine club, administrative, and event operations, creating opportunities for the right candidate to take on new challenges and grow within the winery. The position available is scheduled Thursday-Sunday, 12:00pm-5:30pm. be available to work this shift and these days. Daily Tasting Room Duties- Perform and/or ensure opening and closing procedure tasks are complete.
- General maintenance and upkeep in Tasting Room and common areas, including glassware and daily cleaning tasks.
- Ensure Tasting Room marketing materials are up to date and quantities are sufficient for upcoming days.
- Conducting Tastings and building relationships.
- Processing Phone and Tasting Room orders. Miscellaneous Duties
- Adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
- Networks with local businesses, organizations, and wineries to drive referrals and sales.
- Represents winery at club, winery and trade functions as needed.
- Acting as a company ambassador at all times.
- Planning and assisting with events, both at the winery and off-premises.
- Assisting in other duties as assigned by the Tasting Room Manager. Expectations
- Conduct in depth tastings, sitting with guests for the entirety of their visit.
- Continue to explore and learn about our wines and stories, with the goal of providing the best, most in depth tasting experiences for our guests.
- Demonstrate reliability by arriving to work on time for scheduled shifts, dressed appropriately, and in good spirits.
- Be coachable and open to feedback to ensure you are serving our brand as ownership desires.
- Remain productive throughout the day and be self-motivated to complete tasting room tasks such as cleaning, restocking, and preparing for tastings.
- Proficiency with Tock, Commerce7, or similar POS systems, as well as iOS and Apple products, is preferred. Candidates should also demonstrate the willingness and ability to quickly learn new systems and technology. Requirements
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in the hospitality or wine industry.
- Weekend work is required.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time. Monthly Incentive Plan
