Job Summary Vincent Vineyards is an estate vineyard and winery dedicated to making limited production Bordeaux varietal wines and offers a blend of luxury and viticultural prestige. Situated in the Los Olivos District of the Santa Ynez Valley, the family-owned winery is a uniquely recognized producer in the region for growing and making wine from all five noble red grapes of Bordeaux - Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Malbec, and Petit Verdot, as well as, Bordeaux's prominent white grape, Sauvignon Blanc. Founded in 2007 by Anthony Vincent Zehenni, Sr., the Vincent Vineyard estate was formally a walnut farm. The Vincent Vineyards Winery was established in 2008 with imported vines, in which careful, expertise planning of these first vines from soil to farming, was paramount using the latest technologies, resulting in the crafted details of the vineyard and wines we enjoy today. The Vineyard currently boasts 14 acres of Bordeaux varietals, supported by a fully equipped onsite winery and tasting room. Amongst dozens of 90+ point wines and countless accolades, our wine is 100% estate grown and produced. With every sip, and in every pour, Vincent Vineyards is committed to delivering a personalized, elevated experience that honors the enduring legacy of Anthony Vincent Zehenni, Sr. Our dedication is deeply rooted in our Heritage production, while passion for crafting vibrant Bordeaux blends is expressed through our Signature production, whereby each and all productions define our distinctive presence in the market.
Essential Duties:
The following reflects essential functions for this role but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned: Share the incredible story of the Vincent family and create a memorable, quality guest experience. Utilize strategic selling skills to encourage sales and new wine club membership Acquire and share wine knowledge effectively and accurately to guests Create and maintain a customer-oriented environment focused on building customer relationships and loyalty Act as a wine ambassador on and off premise Communicate with comfort, clarity and consistency, both verbally and in writing Evening and weekend event assistance Flexibility in working weekends and holidays is required Complete other assignments and special projects as assigned Qualifications Prior hospitality experience is preferred but not required. Wine knowledge ranging from the wine industry to production and farming. Or willing to attain that knowledge Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, as well as keeping busy during slower periods Flexibility with work weekends, events (including evenings), and some holidays Professional, self-motivated, organized and efficient with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced, small team environment Passion, enthusiasm, focus, creativity and positive outlook Excellent customer service skills along with being a fast learner of new systems Goal oriented and sales driven Professional appearance, demeanor, and enthusiasm Proficiency in Point of Sales (POS) systems and basic computer skills preferred Must be at least 21 years of age High School diploma or equivalent Completed required state certifications preferred. Otherwise, to be completed upon hiring Physical requirements Ability to perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in changing weather conditions Ability to lift 50 lbs.
