Job Summary Fincas Coffee is seeking a detail-oriented, dependable, and coffee-focused Coffee Roaster to support daily roasting and coffee production operations. The ideal candidate will assist with roasting green coffee, monitoring roast profiles, maintaining equipment, checking coffee quality, organizing inventory, and supporting consistent production standards. This position is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys specialty coffee and hands-on production work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities Roast green coffee according to established roast profiles and quality standards. Monitor roast temperature, timing, airflow, and other production variables. Operate commercial coffee roasting equipment safely and efficiently. Record roast data and maintain accurate batch and production records. Inspect roasted coffee for consistency, appearance, aroma, and overall quality. Assist with coffee tasting, cupping, and quality-control procedures. Weigh, portion, and organize green and roasted coffee as directed. Assist with coffee packaging, labeling, and product preparation. Maintain clean and organized roasting, production, and storage areas. Clean and perform routine maintenance on roasters, grinders, and related equipment. Monitor coffee and packaging inventory and communicate supply needs to management. Assist with receiving, moving, and properly storing coffee shipments. Follow food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, and production procedures. Report equipment issues, quality concerns, or production problems to management. Work closely with production, café, and management teams to support daily coffee operations. Assist with opening, closing, and other roasting and production duties. Perform additional responsibilities assigned by management. Requirements Previous coffee roasting, specialty coffee, café, or food-production experience is preferred. Basic knowledge of coffee roasting and green coffee is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency. Ability to follow roast profiles, procedures, and production standards. Ability to operate production equipment safely. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine physical tasks. Ability to lift, carry, and move moderate loads when required.
