Job Description

About Us:
Spanish Marie is an independent brewery located in Miami. We operate a 7 BBL brewhouse and are preparing to scale production significantly. We're looking for a skilled, organized, and consistent Head Brewer to take full ownership of production while working closely with ownership and a support team.
Job Summary:
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing brewdays, fermentation, inventory, and production scheduling. You'll maintain quality, consistency, and compliance across all brewing operations. You'll also handle cleaning, packaging, and cellar work.
Responsibilities:
Run brewdays independently (7 BBL system) Manage the production calendar and tank schedule Monitor fermentation, cold-crash, and carbonate as needed Manage yeast harvesting, pitching schedules, and cell health Execute CIP/SIP protocols and safely handle cellar chemicals Oversee packaging operations, including canning and keg washing/filling Track and order ingredients, chemicals, and gas Manage supplier and vendor relationships (hop contracts, malt orders, equipment parts) Monitor yields, recipe batch costs, and COGS efficiency Manage cold room inventory and coordinate spent grain/waste disposal Maintain accurate logs and ensure

compliance Serve as primary contact for safety protocols and regulatory/facility inspections Brief taproom team on new releases, tasting notes, and beer specs Represent the brewery at select festivals and industry events Oversee assistant brewers and cellar support staff Uphold QA/QC across all batches Collaborate on pilot brews and seasonal releases Troubleshoot issues and maintain equipment functionality
Requirements:
3+ years of professional brewing experience Strong understanding of brewing science, sanitation, and compliance Experience managing inventory, scheduling, and production targets Comfortable delegating tasks and training support staff Able to lift 55+ lbs and work in hot/wet environments Legally permitted to work with alcohol in
