Overview Medusa Brewing Company is looking for a full-time Beertender / Shift Lead to support our Taproom and seasonal Beer Garden. If you're passionate about craft beer, enjoy connecting with guests, and can help keep a busy shift running smoothly, we'd love to hear from you. This is a hands-on service position with additional responsibility for opening and closing, cash management, supporting teammates during the shift, and communicating issues to management. You'll provide the same excellent service and beer education as our beertenders while helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming space for customers and employees. Evening and weekend availability is required. Responsibilities Guest Service & Team Support Represent Medusa Brewing Company in a positive and professional way. Provide friendly, attentive service and educate guests about our beers and products. Recommend and sell products based on guests' interests and preferences. Build relationships with customers and help create a welcoming experience. Help coordinate shift tasks, support teammates, and keep service running smoothly. Address guest concerns professionally and involve management when needed. Follow responsible alcohol service practices and company policies. Shift Lead Duties Complete opening and closing procedures, ensuring the space is ready for service and properly secured at the end of the shift. Manage cash drawers, verify starting and ending balances, reconcile cash and sales, and complete required cash handling records according to company procedures. Promptly report cash discrepancies, customer or employee concerns, maintenance needs, and safety issues to management. Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment throughout the shift, including service areas and shared spaces. Ensure shift tasks and cleaning checklists are completed and communicate outstanding needs to the next shift or management. Report to and collaborate with the Taproom Manager to support daily operations. Qualifications Required Must be 21 years of age or older. Evening and weekend availability. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Interest in craft beer and a willingness to learn about our products. TIPS certification, or willingness to obtain certification. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Dependability, attention to detail, and the ability to stay organized during busy shifts. Comfort handling cash accurately and following opening and closing procedures. Ability to lift 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Commitment to responsible alcohol service and a clean, safe workplace. Preferred Customer service, bartending, or serving experience.
