Deli Associate Classification:

Nonexempt Reports to: General Manager Marty's Fine Wines is looking for Deli Associates to join their team in Newton, MA. These individuals will be responsible for taking accurate orders, preparing fresh meals quickly, and serving customers. We are looking for 2 full-time employees. Family owned and operated since 1948, Marty's Fine Wines is your source for the finest wines, spirits, craft and imported beers, and gourmet foods. With twenty-four thousand square feet of space dedicated to the finest comestibles and libations, we have enough room for just about everything you could want or need for every day consumption, special occasions, cellar stocking, or gift giving.

Job Responsibilties:

• Operates cash registers, meat and cheese slicers, oven, microwave, cutting tools, scale, and other Deli equipment.
• Adhere to all ServeSafe, food handling and sanitation standards.
• Engage with customers, recommending products by providing customers with information needed to make product related decisions.
• Prepare special orders and party trays.
• Fills, maintains, and rotates product and displays.
• Process and recommend orders for store stock based on inventory, seasonality and customer trends.
• Maintain first in, first out standards to ensure minimal loss

Qualifications:

• Must be customer focused and possess excellent communication and organizational skills
• High School diploma or G.E.D
• Previous food preparation experience required
• Must be available to work during the day, evenings and on weekends.

Pay:

From $20.00 per hour
