Job Overview The Brewery Production & Logistics Specialist is an entry-level position designed for individuals who are passionate about craft beer and eager to build a career in brewery operations. This role provides hands-on experience across all aspects of brewery production, including packaging, brewing support, cellar work, cleaning and sanitation, inventory organization, and distribution logistics. The successful candidate will work closely with the brewing team to ensure products are produced, packaged, stored, and delivered safely and efficiently. This is a physically active position requiring attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn. Brewery Production Assist with all aspects of beer packaging, including cans, kegs, and other production formats Support brewers during brew days, cellar operations, and production activities Clean, sanitize, and prepare brewing equipment according to brewery standards Assist with transferring beer between tanks and preparing products for packaging Monitor packaging quality and report any inconsistencies Label, organize, and stage finished products for storage or distribution 2. Cleaning and Sanitation Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of brewery equipment and production areas Maintain strict compliance with brewery cleaning procedures and food safety standards Clean tanks, hoses, fittings, kegs, packaging equipment, and production workspaces Assist in maintaining an organized and efficient production facility Follow all safety procedures regarding chemicals, cleaning agents, and equipment operation 3. Inventory and Logistics Assist with receiving deliveries and organizing brewery inventory Rotate inventory using First-In, First-Out (FIFO) practices Maintain organized storage areas for raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished goods Prepare orders for distribution and event needs Assist with loading and unloading deliveries Support inventory counts and operational organization 4. Delivery and Distribution Support Occasionally assist with local product deliveries to accounts and event locations Safely load and secure products for transportation Verify delivery accuracy and maintain professional relationships with customers Represent Guilford Hall Brewery professionally while off-site 5. General Brewery Operations Support preventative maintenance of brewery equipment Assist with special brewery projects and seasonal production needs Help prepare for brewery events and festivals Maintain accurate production records as assigned Operate equipment safely and responsibly Perform additional duties as assigned to support brewery operations Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous brewery, manufacturing, warehouse, food production, or logistics experience preferred but not required Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Positive attitude and strong work ethic Ability to safely lift up to 55 pounds repeatedly throughout the workday Ability to stand, bend, climb ladders, and work in a physically demanding environment Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred Forklift certification is a plus (training may be provided) Compensation & Benefits $18.00 - $20.00 per hour Compensation is based on experience, mechanical aptitude, and applicable brewery or production experience.
