Pay Rate:

Position Overview The Food Production Worker Line Leader supports the Production Supervisor in overseeing daily manufacturing operations at Fit Butters. This role combines hands-on production responsibilities with leadership duties to ensure that products are made efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and capable of leading a team in a fast-paced food production environment. Key Responsibilities Ingredient & Equipment Operations Weigh and measure ingredients accurately per production formulas. Operate, monitor, and control basic food manufacturing equipment. Disassemble, wash, rinse, and sanitize production equipment according to safety and sanitation procedures. Sanitation & Food Safety Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment. Participate in food safety monitoring, checks, and documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards. Conduct equipment and safety checks to ensure optimal performance and a safe working environment. Production Line Leadership Actively participate in and oversee production line operations, including: Topping jars with ingredients Capping jars Packing finished jars into cases Palletizing finished goods for storage or shipment Monitor line processes to ensure consistent output and adherence to production standards. Lead, direct, and motivate team members to achieve daily efficiency and quality goals. Administrative & Monitoring Duties Utilize basic computer systems for recording production data, food safety logs, and efficiency tracking. Assist the Production Manager in maintaining production schedules and ensuring targets are met. Report and help resolve production issues in a timely manner. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or technical training preferred Previous experience in food manufacturing or production supervision strongly preferred Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation protocols (HACCP experience a plus) Demonstrated ability to lead and communicate effectively with a team Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office, production tracking software, etc.) Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs Dependable, proactive, and adaptable to a changing work environment Work Environment Fast-paced food production environment Exposure to varying temperatures and food ingredients Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, hairnets, and other sanitary gear Compensation & Growth Opportunities This position starts as a part-time role with consistent hours (~30 per week) and offers the opportunity to transition into a full-time position as Fit Butters moves into its new production facility in Brooklyn Center.
