full-time About the Company Our client provides wine storage and related services based out of a 22,000 square foot facility in Northern New Jersey. Their service area covers a 100-mile radius from the headquarters; effectively serving the state of New Jersey, all five boroughs of New York, Long Island, the lower Hudson Valley, eastern Pennsylvania, and coastal Connecticut. About the Role They are seeking a highly organized, meticulous Wine Storage Manager to oversee the daily operations, climate controls, and coordination of the premier wine storage facility. The manager will be the primary custodian of an extensive collection, ensuring that all inventory is systematically tracked, safely managed, and preserved under flawless storage conditions. The ideal candidate possesses deep foundational knowledge of wine varietals, firsthand experience with inventory software, and a technical understanding of environmental monitoring systems. Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of the wine storage facility. Manage climate controls to ensure optimal storage conditions. Coordinate the tracking and management of inventory. Ensure preservation of wine under flawless conditions.

Qualifications Experience:

2-4 years of experience in wine warehousing, cellar management, fine wine retail, or upscale hospitality coordination.

Required Skills Wine Knowledge:

Solid foundational understanding of global wine regions, vintages, proper aging windows, and bottle formats. Professional certifications (e.g., WSET Level 2/3, Certified Sommelier) are a major plus.

Technical Savvy:

Proficiency with inventory management software, Excel, barcode scanners, and smart environmental-monitoring apps. Attention to

Detail:

Absolute precision in documentation, tracking serial/bin numbers, and catching subtle discrepancies on labels.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and navigate tight cellar spaces for long periods. Ability to lift and move heavy boxes and wine cases weighing up to fifty pounds daily comfortably and safely. Comfort working routinely in cooler, dimly lit ambient environments (typically fifty-five°F / 13°C) designed for wine preservation. Preferred Skills Experience with advanced inventory management systems. Knowledge of wine preservation techniques. Pay range and compensation package Position is in Hoboken, NJ. Salary is $75K.
