Job Description

Cinderlands Beer Co. in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, seeks a passionate, diligent, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Brewery Assistant at the Cinderlands Warehouse brewpub in the Strip District. This position is part-time, seasonal, hourly, non-exempt (overtime eligible). Expected hours are 16-24 hours per week, typically between 8 AM and 6 PM, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with the option of weekend or night hours after successful training . The Brewery Assistant reports to the Packaging Manager. The position is open for a period of March through October, with winter hours possible as needed. This is a an entry-level position for someone who has a passion for great beer and growing with a small, family-owned, independent company.
Start Date:
Immediately Warehouse Associate responsibilities include: Cleaning and organizing kegs Loading cans into and out of the canning line Cleaning the brewery Milling grain Operating the forklift and pallet jacks Organizing the cooler Assisting at the off-site warehouse Receiving and unloading pallets Packing and loading pallets Maintaining safe conditions for other employees and visitors Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and orderliness in the production area Following production, delivery, and warehouse SOPs Keeping accurate, timely, and legible records Communicating with supervisors to understand and fulfill responsibilities Reporting safety, maintenance, or beer quality issues to supervisors Representing Cinderlands Beer Co. in a positive way and avoiding actions, statements, and situations that are not reflective of Cinderlands' culture, standards, and good standing in the community Other duties as assigned Qualifications and desirable traits: Passion for or emerging interest in beer and brewing Ability to demonstrate repeatable, unsupported proficiency of sensitive cleaning and sanitizing tasks after training, practice, and feedback Growth-oriented mindset with a willingness to openly communicate mistakes and gaps in knowledge Demonstrated ability to make cautious decisions in difficult, rapidly evolving circumstances Functional interpersonal skills, self-awareness, verbal and written communication, and emotional intelligence Ability to trust and earn the trust of teammates, engage in productive conflict, commit to decisions in the best interest of the company, hold others and be held accountable, and focus on delivering results Desire and ability to engage with teammates, customers, and industry peers from all walks of life Ability to thrive in systems that empower employees and hold them accountable A valid and current driver's license and ability to load, unload, and locally drive a commercial van or truck (no CDL required) Ability to lift 55-pound bags above shoulder height Ability to lift and carry 55-pound bags Ability to climb ladders Ability to push and pull 165-pound kegs along floor Ability to unload 2,500-pound pallets 50-55 pounds at a time Ability to work in tight spaces with low clearance for extended periods of time Ability to work in hot and cold temperatures in unconditioned and refrigerated spaces Ability to travel by car, truck, and van 21 years of age or older
Compensation:
