What Is This Job Really Like? We believe in being upfront about the work. This is a hands-on, physical production job in a working dairy processing facility. The work can be wet, cold, dirty, messy, repetitive, and physically demanding . You will work around milk and other dairy products, production equipment, water, cleaning and sanitation activities, and the normal conditions of a busy dairy plant. Schedule & Commute Requirements Start time: 6:00 a.m. End time varies based on daily production needs and completion of the day's production goals . The workday may extend beyond a traditional 8-hour shift when production needs require it. Because of the 6:00 a.m. start time and variable end time , employees must live in Lee, MA, or within a reasonable commuting distance to reliably report to and from the farm. Reliable transportation to and from the farm is required. This is an in-person position ; remote work is not available. Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Transfer milk into crates. Operate labeling equipment during milk bottling. Package milk, butter, and ice cream. Organize finished products and prepare orders. Load products onto delivery trucks. Clean and sanitize production areas and equipment. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures. Assist with daily production and plant operations. Learn additional production duties as training progresses. Perform other duties as assigned. What We're Looking For You do not need a long résumé or previous dairy experience. We are looking for someone who is: Reliable and dependable. Willing to learn. Able to follow instructions. Comfortable performing physical and repetitive work. Comfortable working in a wet, cold, dirty, and fast-paced environment . Able to work safely around production equipment. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Comfortable doing the physical work necessary to meet daily production goals. Positive, hardworking, and willing to pitch in wherever needed. Previous experience in dairy, food production, manufacturing, warehouse, agriculture, or other physical labor is helpful but not required . Physical Requirements Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds . Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods. Must be able to repeatedly bend, reach, lift, carry, push, and pull. Must be comfortable working around water and dairy products. Must be able to perform physical and repetitive tasks throughout the workday. Must be able to work safely in a physically demanding production environment. Pay & Benefits $16.00-$18.00 per hour , commensurate with experience and willingness to learn.
