Job Description
Own and grow a Houston-based territory through aggressive prospecting and relationship development across manufacturing, logistics, and distribution clients
Sell custom corrugated boxes and packaging solutions tailored to customer specifications, operations, and cost objectives
Drive new business while expanding existing accounts within the Greater Houston and surrounding Gulf Coast region
Manage the full sales cycle: lead generation, needs assessment, quoting, closing, and account management
Partner closely with internal production and design teams to deliver custom, cost-effective packaging solutions
Conduct in-person client visits throughout Houston and the surrounding areas to strengthen relationships and close business
Prepare RFQs/RFPs, pricing strategies, and product recommendations aligned with customer needs
Maintain a strong pipeline and accurately forecast sales activity using CRM tools
Stay connected to local market trends, key industries (energy, food & beverage, industrial manufacturing), and competitive landscape
Qualifications:
3+ years of packaging sales experience (must have corrugated sale experience)
Proven success in selling into the Houston market and developing new business
Strong understanding of custom packaging solutions vs. commodity sales
An established network within Houston's manufacturing, distribution, or industrial sectors is a major plus
Ability to manage a territory independently with a hunter-driven mindset
Strong communication, negotiation, and closing skills
Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
Bachelor's degree preferred
