Our production team also supports Henway Hard Cider and Great Country Farms, crafting a diverse portfolio of premium wines, hard ciders, and specialty fruit wines. The Cellar Hand is a hands-on production role that supports all aspects of winery and cidery operations, including harvest, cellar work, packaging, sanitation, and general production activities. This position is well suited for someone with prior experience in a winery, cidery, brewery, or other beverage production environment who is looking to expand their knowledge and develop their skills within a collaborative production team. Successful candidates will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality products while maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Responsibilities Perform daily cellar operations including racking, transfers, pump-overs, punch-downs, filtration, barrel work, and tank cleaning. Assist with grape and apple receiving, crushing, pressing, fermentation management, and harvest operations. Prepare and sanitize all winery and cidery equipment to maintain the highest quality standards. Assist with wine and cider additions under the direction of the winemaker. Support bottling, canning, kegging, labeling, and packaging operations. Help maintain accurate production records. Safely operate cellar equipment including pumps, forklifts, presses, and filters (training available). Assist with basic vineyard work as needed, including grape sampling and harvest support. Maintain an organized, clean, and safe production facility. Work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as needed during harvest (August-November). Support special projects and other production duties as assigned. Bring a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to jump in wherever needed. Qualifications 1-2 years of winery, cidery, brewery, food production, or similar manufacturing experience preferred. Harvest experience is highly preferred but not required. Basic understanding of wine, cider, or fermentation processes. Comfortable performing physically demanding work in varying weather conditions. Ability to safely lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, work on wet surfaces, and remain on your feet for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and sanitation. Ability to follow written procedures and work instructions accurately. Forklift experience is a plus (training and certification available). Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
