Part-Time Tasting Room AssociateUpchurch Vineyard Red Mountain Location Benton City, WAPosition SummaryUpchurch Vineyard is seeking an enthusiastic, personable, and service-driven Part-Time Tasting Room Associate to join our team at our Red Mountain tasting room. This role is responsible for creating memorable guest experiences through exceptional hospitality, wine education, and thoughtful sales. The ideal candidate is passionate about wine, enjoys building relationships with guests, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Availability Requirement:
Candidates must be available to work Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, including holiday weekends as needed (or a combination there of). Key ResponsibilitiesWelcome guests with genuine hospitality and provide an exceptional tasting experience.

Confidently present Upchurch Vineyard wines, vineyard history, winemaking philosophy, and wine club benefits.

Guide guests through wine tastings while tailoring the experience to their interests and knowledge level.

Build relationships that encourage wine sales, club memberships, and return visits.

Process sales accurately using the point-of-sale system.

Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting tasting room before, during, and after service.

Restock wine, merchandise, and guest supplies as needed.

Assist with opening and closing procedures.

Support winery events, special tastings, and private experiences.

Follow Washington State liquor laws and all company policies regarding responsible alcohol service.

Work collaboratively with team members to ensure excellent guest service and efficient daily operations.

QualificationsPrevious hospitality, customer service, restaurant, or wine industry experience preferred.

Passion for wine and a willingness to continually expand wine knowledge.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong sales mindset with the ability to recommend wines and club memberships naturally.

Professional, dependable, and self-motivated.

Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Must possess or be able to obtain a Washington State MAST Permit.

Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.

SchedulePart-Time (8-24 hours a week)Required availability: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday -March-October Additional weekday shifts may be available during peak seasons, holidays, and special events.
