The role involves operating brewing equipment with strict adherence to safety protocols, ensuring all machinery, tanks, and workspaces are meticulously cleaned and sanitized to produce consistently excellent beer. The successful candidate will use keg washing and filling equipment, always maintaining Whitewall's standards of quality. This hands-on job requires the ability to lift over 50 pounds multiple times daily and the stamina to remain on your feet for extended periods, reflecting the physically demanding nature of brewing work. A background in beer knowledge or the ability to quickly develop expertise is essential, as are strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Experience in a high-volume brewing environment is preferred but not required. The position typically requires availability for 30 to 40 hours per week, including some weekends as business needs dictate. Responsibilities Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport products to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols Operate brewing equipment while following safety protocols Valid driver's license and clean driving record State of Washington Class 12 liquor license (alcohol server card) Beer knowledge or willingness to become an expert Clean and sanitize all equipment, tanks, and work areas to maintain consistent beer quality Operate keg washing and filling equipment, upholding Whitewall standards Move and deliver kegs as needed, with the ability to drive the brewery van or truck Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability and stamina to spend extended periods on your feet Ability to lift 50+ pounds several times a day Experience in a high-volume environment preferred Willingness to work 30 to 40 hours per week, including some weekends Teamwork skills Qualifications Prior experience in food industry settings or manufacturing environments preferred, especially in packaging or warehouse roles Mechanical knowledge or experience operating forklifts is highly desirable Familiarity with food safety protocols including HACCP, CGMP, and sanitation practices Ability to operate delivery vehicles safely and efficiently; valid driver's license required Knowledge of brewing or craft beer production is a plus but not essential Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and safety procedures Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks as needed Join us to be part of a vibrant team committed to quality, safety, and excellence.
