Job Description :
Cellar Workers are responsible for all daily tasks and functions related to the winemaking process. They will report directly to the Production Manager. This position will be expected to complete many production related tasks including but not limited to; wine racking, filtration, cleaning, sanitation, bottling and barrel work. They will be expected to work in a physical environment, working on their feet, lifting regularly, using ladders, climbing and regularly operating a forklift. They will be responsible for upholding the highest standards of cleanliness, quality of work and safety.
Job Qualifications:
1-5 years of cellar experience Prior experience in wine racking, filtration and barrel work preferred Exceptional standards of cleanliness Ability to consistently lift 50 lbs Ability to work in confined spaces Ability to climb ladders and work standing up for several hours Must have valid forklift license, or be able to obtain after hired Ability to calculate figures and process work orders
Job Responsibilities:
Work with Winemaking team on a daily basis to execute necessary winemaking tasks Assist with completion of bottling process and tasks Assist with completion of wine racking, filtration and barreling tasks Assist with the fulfillment of all bottled wine orders and transfers from the bonded facility Process work orders Must be able to safely handle winery equipment and chemicals. Some of which include pumps, pressure washers and ozone. Assist with tasks related to harvest, fruit receiving, crushing, punch downs and fermentation Uphold, maintain and improve the highest standards of quality, cleanliness, organization and safety Understand and adhere to all L&I standards and OSHA guidelines Understand and adhere to all TTB policies and guidelines Maintain effective communication with all staff members Must have flexible availability during harvest season (Sept-Nov)
