Our Spokane Tasting Room is open year-round Tuesday - Saturday, offering wine tasting and small plates along with special wine events. Terra Blanca produces luxury class wines and we are cultivating experiences to match. We are looking for team members who understand the luxury experience and personal hospitality and can maintain that approach in all aspects of our guests' experience. We are currently recruiting for highly motivated, upbeat, positive, energetic, personable, hard-working fun-loving individuals to join our hospitality team here at Terra Blanca in Spokane. Core Duties and Responsibilities Provide exceptional experiences to all guests with friendly, courteous, upbeat and polite interactions with enthusiasm and an eagerness to delight our guests Conduct on-site tastings, providing education about our wines, vineyards, and history accurately with confidence and passion to our guests Share knowledge about all wines in an open and friendly manner with the goal of helping customers develop enthusiasm and appreciation of our wines. Promote membership in our wine clubs and mailing list. Greet all guests promptly and graciously and provide knowledgeable, consistent and courteous responses to questions. Approach challenges with courtesy, professionalism and poise, prioritize and proactively follow through to a mutual resolution Fulfill customer orders using POS systems to complete sales with accuracy and efficiency. Properly operate POS systems and reservation systems, accurately following transaction procedures Ensure accuracy of guest orders and provide prompt and friendly service Perform operating duties including opening wine, restocking, washing and polishing glassware, clearing tables Assist with wine order pickups for club members and other guests Assist with sales-oriented and reservation phone calls as needed An enthusiastic desire to continually learn about grape-growing, winemaking, and food and wine experiences Assist with special public and private events as needed Additional duties as assigned Qualification Requirements High School diploma required, College degree preferred, study in Hospitality or Business a plus CSW, WSET or comparable certification a plus Two years experience in a high-end or luxury class winery hospitality setting or related luxury field preferred Strong professional customer service skills High energy and excellent communication skills, to include public speaking, are a must Candidates must be able to multi-task, prioritize tasks, be a team player, and love people Excellent verbal and written communication skills Enthusiasm for fine wine and wine and food paring along with a desire to learn more Experience with register/POS systems and reservation systems preferred Relaxed, friendly and professional demeanor Ability to communicate and maintain effective relationships with all levels of staff in a team environment Must be available and willing to work weekends and evenings Strong analytical and math skills Have a valid drivers license Activities required include standing, walking, regularly lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds Must be 21 years of age or older Both a Class 12 MAST and a Food and Beverage Service Worker permits are required within 30 days of employment. Compensation and Benefits Hourly wage of $17.13 per hour plus tips.
