Job Description
Summary This position provides the day-to-day management of three shifts of technical personnel including adherence to all Rolling Hills Casino policy and procedures, ensuring high machine up time, successful inspections, certifications and audits, execution of departmental goals and objectives and administrative duties by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate staff. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Oversees the effective creation and execution of work schedules across multiple shifts to ensure efficient and cost effective personnel coverage. Ensures compliance by staff to Rolling Hills Casino policies and procedures Ensures that slot machines are up and running with only minimal scheduled downtime Oversees repair and maintenance assignments and ensures efficient completion Ensures proper inventory of parts to budget and works with vendors to negotiate on behalf of RHC Oversees any commission inspections, certifications and audits to ensure successful results Walks floor, checking slot machine condition and taking appropriate actions Ensures excellent customer service by all technical personnel Oversees and provides project timelines and schedules installations and conversions, as well as other technical responsibilities on the casino floor Efficiently performs all administrative duties related to the department and position Attends and/or facilitates departmental meetings to ensure sufficient transfer of information and completion of projects based on departmental goals and objectives Maintains a dependable work attendance record with extremely infrequent absences and/or lateness Regulations and Regulation 31 requirements. Monitor electronic gaming device activities for adherence to casino policies and state gaming commissions rules and regulations. Analyzes the performance of the electronic gaming devices; investigates problem areas and implements corrective action. Reviews slot machine performance and departmental goals to determine conversion schedules. Investigates new technology and methods to improve revenue. Researches and recommends vendors for the purchase of new gaming devices. Establishes a budget for revenues and expenses and operates within those guidelines. Conducts effective analysis and reporting on slot products to maximize revenue and protect company assets. Organize data, identify issues, and propose solutions with assignments and timelines. Identify positive financial outcomes to increase profitability. Manages turnover and budget goals. Performs other special projects and duties as assigned Requirements Minimum 21 years of age. Minimum 5 years of experience in Slot Management Systems and Slot Repair. Experience in Slot Analysis is preferred. Associates degree (or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school) or 3-5 years equivalent training/experience required. Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervises technical staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training staff; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Education and/or Experience Associates degree preferred and three to five years of management or related experience Must possess excellent customer service skills, strong professional etiquette, and be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task, follow-up and complete tasks in a timely manner with minimum supervision. Ability to use CAD. This is mapping software that matches our slot system. At least three years experience using this software. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as well as to gain the cooperation of patrons, employees and fellow team members. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
