Manager of Cage and Credit Ops SUMMARY Responsible for ensuring that accounting activities at all Vault and Cage locations are performed accurately and efficiently in accordance with all applicable laws, West Virginia Lottery rules and regulations, Federal mandates, and Mountaineer Casino, Racetrack and Resorts established policies, procedures and controls.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Accountable for and safeguards cage/vault assets. Controls unissued outlet banks and issues outlet banks to bank custodians. Completes required cage/vault forms, paperwork and reports as needed or required. Receives in outlet banks and receipt bags from custodians and verifies cash proceeds. Exchanges currency, chips and miscellaneous cash items with both the casino cage and other casino departments or currency. Receives in slot and table drops from the count team and verifies entire drop for accuracy. Compiles required data for ticket redemption kiosks. Monitors all ticket redemption kiosks Reconciles ticket redemption kiosk tickets, cash and coin. Replenishes cash and coin in ticket redemption kiosks. Completes full settlements on ticket redemption kiosks on a weekly and end of month basis. Handle fills and credits transactions with other casino departments. All other duties as assigned.
REPORTING LINE
You will report directly to the manager of Cage and Credit Ops and then to Director of Finance.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Must have excellent communication skills, be polite, and present a neat appearance at all times. The ability to work with others as a team in an efficient manner. You will need to be available to work all shifts. The ability to work in a fast -paced environment. You must be at least 21 years old. You must be able to obtain a Level 2 Table Game License and a Validation Manager License through the WV Lottery. You also must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain and maintain a WV Racing License.
EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent. Preferred minimum of six months casino cage or banking experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee: must be able to maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees and others move through all areas of the casino; speak; hear; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms. The employee may occasionally be required to sit. Occasionally climb heights and reach above shoulder level; continuously bend/stoop, squat, balance, kneel, lift and push/pull. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close and distance vision; color and depth perception; peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus. The employee must continuously lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds and lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Must be able to stand/walk/ sit for extended periods. May be exposed to working in a noisy, smoke/secondary smoke environment.
