GED Full Job Description Description:
Summary Under the supervision of the Count Room Manager and/or Lead in absence of Manager, the Soft Count Clerk is responsible for the emptying of all currency and tickets from Gaming machines, Ticket Redemption machines and counting the currency. The Clerk must complete count total forms accurately, following stringent guidelines, gaming policies and procedures at all times. The Clerk must have the ability to work in a very fast-paced, confined environment involving very repetitive motions and tasks. Responsibilities Provides excellent Guest Service Sorts and counts contents of boxes, one bag or box at a time. Completes Cash Slips. Obtains necessary keys for drops from Vault and Security as deemed necessary. Drops slot boxes one at a time and secures boxes in storage cart and the storage cart in the designated locked storage area. Slot Drop Pulling and scanning live stackers from slot machines, placing stackers on secure cart for soft count, and placing and scanning empty stackers in slot machines. Soft Count Performing one of the following tasks: (1) placing live stackers from cart on table and putting stackers back on cart after verifying each is empty; (2) removing currency and tickets from each stacker, verifying stacker is empty and placing contents on top of stacker; and (3) scanning the stacker and running the currency and tickets through the count machine twice to obtain accurate count. When all stackers have been counted, all team members will bundle the currency and tickets and lace on cart.
Requirements:
Qualifications/Education/Experience High school diploma or GED Cash handling experience. Casino experience preferred. Strong English communication skills required to interact with guests, team members, and vendors. Note This description incorporates the most typical duties performed. Applicants who are hired and fail to meet the agreed upon formal training program, will be discharged upon failure to complete the specified training as so scheduled.
